11+ and FSCE revision books, organised with exam purpose in mind
Gulliford Tutors publishes a focused range of 11+ and FSCE-aligned revision books for parents and professional tutors who want preparation to be structured, purposeful, and grounded in real exam demands.
Rather than offering a large catalogue of loosely related titles, the books are organised to reflect how effective 11+ preparation actually works, based on exam structure, skill development, and progression over time.
STRUCTURED BY PURPOSE
A publisher approach, not a retail catalogue
Many revision websites present books as mixed general practice under the larger banner of Verbal Reasoning, Maths, English products etc, leaving parents unsure how to work out what to use and when.
Many practice papers available are pitched much higher than year 5 content which can knock a child's confidence.
Gulliford Tutors takes a different approach.
The range is deliberately structured so that each group of books has a clear role within preparation, helping families and tutors make calm, informed choices rather than relying on trial and error.
Practice papers are set at the appropriate difficulty for the deeper knowledge level at year 5. We use feedback from the children when asked to compare these papers with their actual exam to make sure the difficulty level is correct.
This page explains how the range fits together and how the different categories are intended to be used.
BROWSE BY PREPARATION FOCUS
How the range is organised
The books are grouped by preparation purpose, not by marketing labels or shelf order.
Each category reflects a distinct aspect of 11+ and FSCE-style exams.
Parents and tutors can explore the range by focus area:
FSCE Practice Papers
Full papers designed to replicate exam structure and conditions, used at the right stage of preparation.

VIEW PAPERS →
Verbal Reasoning
Targeted practice that develops the specific reasoning skills these questions assess.

View books →
Maths and Skills
Exam-focused maths practice that goes beyond school curriculum coverage to address speed, accuracy, and method choice.

Each category explains what that area of preparation is for, when it is best introduced, and how it supports overall exam readiness. Every book has tips and advice on the best strategies to tackle that particular skill so that parents can feel confident helping their child succeed.
HOW TO USE THE BOOKS
Setting expectations for how the books are used
The books are designed to be used as part of a structured preparation process rather than as quick fixes or last-minute practice.
They can be used:
Parents at home
By parents supporting preparation at home, working through focused practice with their child.
Professional tutors
By professional tutors working one-to-one or in small groups, using the materials within structured lessons.
Planned sequences
As part of a planned sequence over time, adjusting focus as confidence and skills develop.
The emphasis throughout the range is on understanding, progression, and appropriate practice at each stage.
